Marissa Shay is a young adult author. Since the age of seven, her goal has been to be a writer.  Growing up, she wrote about anything and everything. In middle school, she began to dabble in poetry and her love for the written word grew. When she was nineteen, she wrote a narrative poem that later inspired her first book.  Her debut novel, The Heart of the Moment, was released in 2013 followed by Pinch Hitter in 2018.
